Sally masuk ke industri film secara tidak sengaja kala ditawari bermain film saat menyaksikan syuting di dekat rumahnya. Namanya melambung berkat film Misteri Janda Kembang (1991). Aktingnya yang kerap tampil seksi dan berani kala itu, menempatkan dirinya sebagai icon film panas sejajar dengan Inneke Koesherawati, Kiki Fatmala, dan Eva Arnaz.

Hampir seluruh film Sally berbau mistis dan seks seperti Gadis Erotik, Susuk Nyi Roro Kidul, Susan Yang Sexy, Akibat Hamil Muda, Pencet Sana Pencet Sini, dan Pergaulan Ranjang Pemikat. Pada saat itu, memang film yang menonjolkan kemolekan tubuh dan berbau mistis sangat digemari penonton.

Selain bermain film, Sally juga menulis skenario. Tercatat 15 skenario yang ditulis Sally telah difilmkan, antara lain di film Akibat Hamil Muda Yang Kedua (1997).

Selama hampir 7 tahun Sally vakum dari hingar bingar kegiatan perfilman. Dia disibukkan dengan kegiatan bisnis dan menjadi ibu rumah tangga. Sally kembali ke dunia akting pada tahun 2005. Sally membintangi sejumlah sinetron antara lain CIKLET (Cinta Kelas Atas) yang dibintanginya bersama Desy Ratnasari, Jeremy Thomas, Silvana Herman dan Jonathan Frizzy, serta sinetron Sulaiman dan Andaikan Dia Bukan Ibuku.

Kehidupan pribadi
Sally menikah dengan Henri Farel Tobing yang saat itu hanya berprofesi sebagai kru film. Sekarang Farel adalah sutradara dan produser, antara lain di film Gairah cinta Maria (1997) yang dibintangi istrinya sendiri. MENGOREKSI ARAH KIBLAT VIA GOOGLE EARTH

Kemajuan teknologi sangat membantu mempermudah aktivitas kehidupan manusia dan sangat terasa manfaatnya bagi kita. Salah satu contohnya adalah dengan munculnya sebuah aplikasi buatan Google yang berupa Google Earth. Kini, dengan adanya Google Earth seolah-olah bola bumi bisa berada dalam genggaman tangan, dalam layar monitor komputer kita.

Yah, informasi ini mungkin telah basi atau sudah jamak diketahui publik. Namun apa salahnya bila saya hendak menulisnya kembali. Siapa tahu sebagian diantara anda malahan belum pernah menyentuh aplikasi perambah bola bumi, Google Earth.

Dengan Google Earth kita sebagai umat muslim bisa mengecek apakah arah kiblat sholat kita sudah benar sesuai menghadap ke kiblat di Ka'bah yang terletak Masjidil Haram, Mekkah, Arab Saudi. Sesuai dengan data GPS pada Google Earth, Ka'bah terletak pada posisi 21° 25' 21.07" LU, 39° 49' 34.38" BT.

Nah, Sekarang saya hendak menguji keakuratan arah kiblat dari Masjid Manarul Ilmi ITS Surabaya. Dengan menggunakan Google Earth kita bisa tahu bahwa Masjid kebanggaan kampus ITS Surabaya ini terletak pada posisi 7° 16' 56.35" LS, 112° 47'34.64" BT.

Langkah-langkah pengujiannya adalah sebagai berikut:

1. Pastikan komputer anda telah terinstal software Google Earth. Jika belum terinstal anda bisa mendownloadnya disini. Lalu, pastikan juga komputer memiliki akses internet yang cukup sehingga anda bisa nyaman menggunakan aplikasi ini nantinya.

2. Setelah aplikasi bisa dibuka, langsung saja lakukan pencarian posisi terhadap masjid yang anda tentukan untuk diuji arah kiblatnya. Dalam kasus ini adalah Masjid Manarul Ilmi ITS Surabaya. Anda bisa melakukan pencarian manual atau bisa dengan mengetikkan posisi koordinatnya pada panel 'Search > Fly to' seperti pada gambar di bawah ini. Ketik 7 16' 56.35"S, 112 47'34.64"E dan tekan tombol search. Maka anda akan dibawa terbang menuju sasaran. Dan di panel 'Place' akan tersimpan lokasi pencarian sesuai koordinat tersebut.

3. Setelah menemukan lokasi yang telah anda tentukan tadi, maka tandai lokasi tersebut dengan menu 'Add > Placemark' dan simpan. Pastikan nama lokasi tersebut muncul pada panel Place.

4. Ulangi langkah 2 dan 3 untuk mencari Ka'bah di Mekkah dengan mengetikkan 21 25' 21.07"N, 39 49' 34.38"E dan tekan tombol search. Lalu simpan lokasi tersebut sehingga muncul pada panel Place.

5. Pilih menu 'Tools > Ruler', lalu klik pada Ka'bah tadi sehingga akan ada titik pada Ka'bah dan sebuah garis lurus pada titik tersebut dengan cursor atau pointer yang bergerak sesuai dengan gerak mouse anda. Fungsinya adalah menentukan jarak lurus antara dua lokasi berbeda. Yang kita gunakan adalah garis lurus tersebut antara Ka'bah sebagai kiblat sholat umat Islam dengan masjid yang kita tentukan tadi.

6. Kemudian double klik pada nama lokasi Masjid yang telah kita simpan pada panel Place. Maka anda akan dibawa terbang menuju lokasi Masjid tersebut.

7. Setelah sampai pada posisi masjid, kemudian klik pada masjid tersebut. Maka sebuah garis lurus akan tampak. Nah, itu adalah garis lurus yang diambil dari lokasi dimana cursor atau pointer tersebut berada dengan posisi Ka'bah tadi. Garis tersebut bisa dipahami sebagai arah kiblat menuju Ka'bah. Kita juga bisa melihat jarak lurus antara Ka'bah dengan masjid tersebut. Dari pengamatan saya jarak Ka'bah dengan Masjid Manarul Ilmi ITS Surabaya adalah sejauh 8569,84 km.

8. Nah, sudah sesuaikah arah kiblat masjid yang anda tentukan tadi???

Selamat mencoba! Dengan Google Earth anda juga bisa melihat apakah posisi Tugu Khatulistiwa di kota Pontianak berada tepat persis pada koordinat lintang 0°??? Atau anda bisa juga mengetahui posisi koordinat rumah anda, kantor atau apapun....

We are in the same boat. I am the primary and mine has been Xfrd to field office in VA where as my wife's 485 has been xfrd to MO. I called up customer support and they said it is normal to transfer across field offices.

Many say when the 485 is transferred to a field office there could be an interview.

Today is a great day in IV history!

We filed our AOS last week (EB3 PD Jan 2007). My wife is currently pregnant and so she could not take all the vaccinations that are required in the medicals. She did the other required medicals though.

My question: Will this cause our applications to be denied? OR will they allow my wife to get the shots after our baby is born?

Anyone with experience please help.

Same as my case. This is not a problem. You can either send in her vaccine reports when she gets them or else USCIS will issue an RFE and you can send the reports as part of the response.

new H1 and H1 visa renewal are done in all US embassies in Canada.
1. Look out for dates, after registering and paying fees. USD 9.50 for one appointment of one, two, three .... members.
2. Dates are not available, but are released around 20th in bult; also, check out each hour.
3. Allow 30 days for Canadian TRV (temporay visitors visa) to come in mail
4. Go for visa interview.

I did all the above, but had to cancel Vancouver appointment for lack of leave from a very good and generous employer ( I am in operations). Any other questions, please feel free to PM me.

Are they now allowing to get a H1/H4 stamping done in Canada instead of going back to home country ?

Hello,

I had to go to India due to a family emergency (death in family) in middle of my project. I have a new H1B and went for Stamping at Delhi Consulate on Nov 2nd. I got issued a 221G green form, to which I submitted the document requested on same day. 3 business days later I received a email from Consulate with another 221 G green form asking for all the documents. I sent all the documents via VFS on Nov 10th.

I haven't heard back from the consulate yet. In the mean time, my husband used his contacts to approach a congresswoman who has been involved in immigration cases. She has agreed to take my case with the Consulate. But what I am seeing on the forums is that if Congresswoman write letter to the consulate can jeopardize the case by unnecessarily pressuring the Consular.

It has been little over a week I submitted documents and I see that consulate is usually taking 2-3 weeks to respond. Please suggest if I should have the congresswoman write to the consulate or wait for the it to take the natural process and pray for the best?

Any help/suggestion is appreciated.

Last week my wife's I-485 got an RFE on Medical Examination and Photos. Why is that only my wife got it and not me the primary applicant? Any thoughts. I have read some time ago that if the Medical examinations are 1 year older at the time of application processing they would request for a new one, is that still true?

$5 sounds like a resonable donation for replies to a harrowing immigration question from experts who have lived it, seen it, done it.

BTW... Could we have a link that bring one to the paypal page directly where you could choose from a drop-down from $5, $10, $20... More like one click donation.
This would save potential donors from having to sift through the Contribution page and locate the place to click to get to the paypal page. It is likely lead to a lot of "conversions".
