I am folding in windows with my gpu for the next week or so, or until twoodcc gets back, then I'll go back to os x. We will have crazy ppd (for us anyway :P) when he returns!! As least jav6454 is back now. :)
If all goes to plan, I will be building an Ivy Bridge computer when the chip comes out. But who knows when that is actually going to happen.

My guess is RAM is your biggest issue. I run 1GB in the system in my sig, and while that is adequate in OSX Tiger you're best off maxing the memory.

Have you called Other World Computing to ask them if they will both work together?
If they will, I would start checking power supply lead voltages, you could be experiencing a power supply failure causing an undervoltage occurrence to the cards, thus causing a kernel panic.
He didn't buy them from OWC and they also don't support the card near as well as the manufacturer even if he did buy it there.
A few hard drives with stock video is never going to be too much power for a 400 watt PSU. Even with the full 6 drives he wants to use thats only maybe 75-90 watts. The dual 867 card would use maybe 55 watts tops. All thats left is the stock geforce 4 MX, optical drive and the system fans which wouldn't add up to anymore than maybe 120 watts. 90+55+120=265 watts. Because there were more powerful video upgrades out at the time of the MDD they allowed an extra 150 watts or so for power hungry cards. ie. 9800 pro and Geforce 7800.

This is a microsoft question I'd suggest using there forums for a faster response. Have you tried holding the "fn" key when clicking delete? That's what I always do and it lines it up for me.

Anyone know why worldcommunitygrid.org still has v17 for download on their site when v58 is the newest version from Berkeley?
Before I dl v58, I just want to make sure that there is no technical reason why I would have to use v17 to participate in World Community Grid.

I think Apple waited too long to bring the iPhone to Verizon. By the time they did many diehard Verizon customers had just bought Android alternatives. I think Apple got a little too sucked in by the exclusive money from AT&T, but in the end it might end up hurting them.
Now Apple is going to have to fight to get those customers in the coming year or two, all the while Android is getting better and better.
I'm an iPhone 4 customer on AT&T, but I'm still able to see the big picture. They should have had the iPhone on Verizon a year earlier.

I have a 2009 17 and 13 macbook pros that I want to trade in and get a new computer. I have been trying craiglslist, but just get bogus offers, so was wondering if any one has dealing with powermax? I dont want to do ebay because just to easy for someone to mail me back an empty box and say they never received it.

Yeah, it's silly isn't it...
I look at the latest iMacs and can almost convince myself to upgrade from my 2.4GHz C2D iMac, but it's still fine for daily use and the cash buys so much more horsepower elsewhere.
However, if Apple put a decent nvidia card and an i7 2600 in the next 27 inch revision I'll be sold!

I got an email from Apple tonight telling this was the last reminder they were going to give me to update my calendar on the MobileMe systems to the new version otherwise I'd lose the ability to sync it and wouldn't be able to view it online, either. Which sounds like they're going to delete it for all intents and purposes. :rolleyes:
I bet the only reason it's required I click something to perform this update is because it entails agreeing to a new EULA with some nefarious new terms or requires I start using the newest version of iCal to sync with the online calendar (which, coincidentally, isn't available for the version of OSX I have, which coincidentally requires me to buy a new Mac to run). :rolleyes:
I'm in the same 'no iCal sync unless new Mac' boat as SeaFox. I can't even upgrade my iPhone or wife's iPod touch without a new computer. I know tech marches
on, but it still sucks. Come on new Mini!
