i predict the november 2008 visa bulletin will come out on monday, october 13,2008. however, even if all categories will become current, it is still useless as the processing dates of the different service centers have processing times of july 2007. hence, almost everybody will not be able to have their papers processed.

Visitor visa/Business visa for Germany .I have plan business trip to Germany but to get visa, German consulate web site saying they will need visa stamp in passport. My visa stamp in passport is expired and I had use AP for my last entry.
Does any have done European visa with above condition .Please share your thoughts?

Thanks for all the information. Mine and my spouse's I-140 was approved 2 years ago. So, I guess I can apply for my EAD and live in this country legally.

Such a post would replace the word IV with Senate/House and the word core with the names of four important persons involved with our issues:
1. Nancy Pelosi (Madam speaker),
2. Zoe Lofgren (Chair, House subcommittee on Immigration),
3. Harry Reid (Senate Majority Leader),
4. Ted Kennedy (Chair, Senate House subcommittee on Immigration).
Come on TIGER these are the sites to vent your frustation. You will get your GC (overnight delivery or even personal delivery by Nancy Pelosi + Harry Reid) with the above kind of posts. It will also show the way to the dumb contributing IV members.

Dont know how to express my feeling but it made me laugh, you statement is absolutely true though sad, its like saying are kuch to kar, kam se kam sharam kar :)..... may be that USCIS guy takes a look at the case and feels ashamed that he approved so many with out an order and this one is pending since so long .....cynical me sorry ...
I would say it is still a good sign as it tells that someone is at least looking at your case instead of your case being in a basement in a box.

Hi,
My I 485 was filed on 07/12/2007 in EB2. My priority date in Feb26 2007.
I am working on EAD now, which is valid through 07/06/2012.
I have got a job offer from one of the top fortune 500 company recently. They are offering the job with a role of "Lead Technical Architect".
Following are the details from my labor:
Job Title: Programmer/ Analyst/Systems, Software/Engineer/Developer, or Related to IT
Reponsibility:
develop, create and modify general computer application software. Analysis user needs and design, develop software solutions. Design, develop, analyse and implement software and end user product. Coordinate various account projects with IT consultants; nurture close relationship with the major account customers by providing quality technical support and apply principles of computer science, engineering and mathematical analysis.
From the generic nature of the role resonsibility, I feel that the "Lead technical Architect" role will not be a misfit with the requirement of "Similar resposibility".
Can you kindly let me know if you see any violation of the EAD porting requirement in terms of similar responsibilities?

I have used a similar copy myself when meeting the staff of Congressman Michael Fitzpatric, with great results. However we were told that we were waiting for the lobby firms to give us their input. My guess was, if they are going to provide some really good insight, then we might as well wait a little and add that b4 meeting the Congressmen/Senators.
If you guys are decided on the presentation, then i can go ahead and book the appointment.

But what do i need to do? Do i have to change my place of birth in my indian passport? Can i have "Nepal" as place of birth in my indian passport? Do i still remain indian citizen or would it be considered a fraud? I think, my parents put india as birth place, so i dont face any difficulty in india. what does Indian constitution say about citizenzip?
Are there more people like me here? who were born outside of india, but are Indian citizens?

People who were born outside India can be Indian Citizen. But you need to have the only one country as birth place. Otherwise it will create trouble for you with USCIS

Really speaking I care more for the dates to get current so I can add my wife to my GC application and get her an EAD and AP. After that I won't mind if I have to wait for some more time before I get the actual GC in hand
If your employer has a EB-2 position open which you would be a fit for and if he is willing to start the EB-2 process, then I think you should go ahead with the process. The problem with pending I-485 inventory that USCIS published is that those are only the cases pending at NSC and TSC. They do not account for the cases pending at USCIS Field Offices and overseas consulates. Now coming to the main reason why EB-3 dates not moving is because of 245i (legalization of illegals) cases which were filed before Apr 30, 2001. All of them were classified as EB-3 and there were thousands of applicants. Most the applicants who filed for Adjustment within US are processed. But their dependents cases are still pending at the overseas consulates. Many of them were follow-to-join cases where the cases were filed after primary beneficiary got the greencard and they still use the 2001 PD. There are many such cases pending for consular processing. Though USCIS I-485 inventory only suggests 1100 cases before Dec 2001, there could be hundereds or even thousands pending in field offices or consular posts, hence EB-3 I dates aren't moving either.

I am working as a full time emp and not as a consultant. So i think i dont have to worry about client letters.
So according to you, i am eligible for another 3 year extension based on approved I-140 irrespective of whether my I-485 has been filed or not?
What i have been reading in some forum is that, if you have an approved I-140 and if your I-485 has not been filed due to retrogression, then you are eligible for 3 year extension. If you have an approved I-140 and if you have already filed your I-485, then you are eligible only for 1 year extension.
If anyone has been in such a situation, if you know please let me know which one is correct.. or please forward me to any article.

My other friend submitted client work order showing work for 6 months but that guy got an H1B extension for 3 years.
Your best bet is to provide all the paperwork and request extension for 3 years and leave it up to the IO to make the decision. (Certain things are beyond our control, but the things that are must be handled well)

Our demand should be reasonable.. The law makers knows what kind of people they want. One may have MBA or MA, and they may feel their degree is valuable to America. However it is up to the lawmakers to decide what they want.
One guy was asking whether social science considered as science as it is having science. I am not undermining any degree or any branch. We have to appricate atleast they are excempting STEM from numarical count.

What america need at this moment is innovation, research, new technology, alternate energy to overcome growing energy crisis, environmental care health care, nanotechnology, any advanced research to keep america in leading edge. I got my labor substituted in 2007 in EB3. My priority date is December 2004.
I got my 140 approved in january 2008. Its been 2 yrs since.
I dont have EAD.
I dont know when the date will be current. But the problem is,
My client wants me to join their company. Can I leave my current company and still maintain my priority date. Do h1b companies normally cancel the i140 if employees leave.
if i join the new company I am planning to start GC in EB2 again. Is it wise to do so. Can I port my Priority date. Or should I stick onto my existing employer.
